Upcoming Events

Spring is in full swing and so are lots of amazing events on deck here and off-campus in the upcoming week. Read through and check them out!

1. Sunday, from 2-4pm, there will be a Greenspiration Folk Festival on the Plaza by the IAB.

2. Monday at 5pm in the Pupin Plaza garden, botanist and head of EEEB's undergraduate studies, Matt Palmer, will be giving a lecture on plants. Come learn about plants while seeds actually sprout in the garden around you, instead of in a sterile classroom!

3. The US Green Building Council New York is hosting an awesome sustainable food event next Friday, May 1st from 11:45-1:30pm. The event is a presentation by and about the career of London-based Architect Carolyn Steel, including the recent publication of her groundbreaking book, Hungry City: How Food Shapes Our Lives.

Carolyn is an architect, lecturer and writer whose 20 years experience combines practice with teaching and research in urban design, breaking down traditional barriers between disciplines. A director of Cullum and Nightingale Architects, she was a Rome Scholar, has written for the architectural press, and has presented on the BBC’s “One Foot in the Past”.
